Quality & Craftsmanship — Warranty Statement

Limited Warranty Statement

Accent Wood Floors ("the Company") provides the following limited warranty on all sanding, refinishing, and hardwood/LVP installation services performed by our certified technicians. This warranty is extended to the original property owner identified on the project invoice and is non-transferable.

1. Sanding & Refinishing Warranty

Coverage Period: Two (2) years from the project completion date.
What is Covered: Peeling, flaking, or delamination of the finish coat caused by application error; visible lap marks or roller marks; uneven sheen across the refinished surface.
What is Not Covered: Normal wear and tear; scratches, dents, or gouges from furniture, pets, or foot traffic; damage from water, moisture, or humidity exposure; fading from UV/sunlight; finish breakdown due to improper maintenance or use of non-recommended cleaning products.
Maintenance Requirement: Customer agrees to use only manufacturer-approved hardwood floor cleaners and protective pads under furniture legs. Refinishing of previously coated floors may carry a reduced warranty period.

2. Hardwood & LVP Installation Warranty

Coverage Period: One (1) year from the project completion date.
What is Covered: Separation or gaps at board joints caused by improper nailing/acclimation; loose or lifting boards; transitions or trim that detach due to installation error; visible subfloor irregularities caused by inadequate preparation.
What is Not Covered: Buckling, cupping, or crowning due to moisture, humidity, or subfloor conditions not disclosed prior to installation; natural expansion/contraction of wood products; damage from flooding or plumbing leaks; defects in manufacturer materials (covered under the manufacturer’s separate warranty).
Acclimation Notice: Solid hardwood must be acclimated on-site for a minimum of 72 hours at normal living conditions prior to installation. Skipping acclimation voids the gap/separation warranty.

3. General Warranty Terms

To make a warranty claim, the customer must contact Accent Wood Floors within the coverage period and provide the original invoice or project number.
A technician will inspect the affected area within 10 business days. Approved repairs will be performed at no cost to the customer.
This warranty covers repair or re-performance of the affected work only and does not cover replacement of materials, relocation of furniture, or consequential damages.
Warranty is void if the floor is altered, repaired, or refinished by another party, or if damage results from misuse, neglect, or acts of God.
