Expert hardwood floor refinishing and restoration for Downers Grove's historic and modern homes. Original oak, maple & pine floors brought back to life. Free estimates — call 630-470-2641.
Downers Grove is one of Chicago's most beloved historic suburbs, with a charming downtown and neighborhoods filled with Victorian-era homes, craftsman bungalows, and mid-century architecture. These homes are treasured for their character and craftsmanship — and their original hardwood floors are irreplaceable pieces of history that deserve professional care and preservation.
Downers Grove's oldest homes often feature original quarter-sawn oak, heart pine, or maple floors laid in the 1910s–1950s. With proper refinishing by an experienced contractor, these century-old floors can be restored to their original beauty and protected for another generation. Accent Wood Floors is skilled in working with older, delicate floors that require special attention — using appropriate grit sequences, custom stains, and low-VOC finishes that enhance rather than mask the wood's natural character.
